The three day long QUBEE SUMMER LAPTOP FAIR 2011 ends with huge response from visitors and enormous quantity of sales. Postal and Telecommunication parliamentary standing committee chairman Mr. Hasanul Haq Enu, MP officially announced the closure of the fair in a ceremony. The special guest at the ceremony was Mr. Mostafa Jabbar, The president of Bangladesh Computer Samity.
According to Mostafa Jabbar, ‘The demand of portable devices are rising as days go by, as current era of computing is becoming more and more portable devices based. The demand for laptops has risen so high that we are developing a separate shopping space for laptops only. This laptop market will be opened at shantinagar by this September.’
The three day long fair created excitement among the technology lovers. A huge number of customers came from outside of Dhaka to purchase their laptops. A college student from Mongla Anik Ratul said, ‘No laptop fair is held at our area. Thus we do not get the opportunity to see a lot of laptops in one place. I rushed to Dhaka the moment I heard about the laptop fair. I bought a laptop of my choice, and now enjoying the opportunity to see a lot of laptops in one place.’
According to Qubee Brand and communication head Mr. Ashiqur Rahman, ‘We are delighted to be a part of yet another successful laptop fair for the second time. To enhance the wide usage of laptop and internet, Qubee will support the laptop fair in future. In this way, everyone would be able to have laptop facility along with quality internet service.’
Asus country manager Mahiuddin Khasru told, ‘We need to create the demand of technological products before we strive to sell them. Among the 160 million people, only 2% uses the computer, we need to raise this portion to at least 10%. For that, we need to conduct technology related campaigns and promotions. Laptop fair provides us with a unique opportunity to do exactly that. The intention of the fair is fully achieved.’
