As part of our new media capacity building initiative, WRITE3, New Media platform is organizing a workshop on New Media & Citizen Journalism in Dhaka. Scheduled for July 07 (Saturday), the programme will be held at IDB Bhaban Auditorium, Agargoan.
This workshop is open for all interested & registered Write3 citizen journalists following a simple confirmation process. Eminent experts from National Media will engage the participants in sessions designed to empower individuals as citizen journalist. 25 Best citizen Journalist will be awarded after this workshop. Participants will be taught basic journalism techniques & technology and Ethics & Values. There is also a segment called Citizens’ Interaction with Mainstream Media,
which explains how citizen journalists can connect with mainstream media using Write3 new media platform.

More than 15 years of experience in the field of new media journalism and communication, media training and research. Expertise includes newsroom management, reporting, editing, presentation/anchoring and developing, organizing and conducting training/workshops particularly in areas of journalism, media relations and communications.

Citizen Journalism Award 2011 Session, Duration: 30 Minutes
